Cone 7, workshop at Clay Station, Bangalore



21st to 27th of October 2013.

Intensive work with the Clay Station team
& participants - who joined us from different walks of life!!

Working table, surrounded with materials that were used for making clay body tests.

Nine different clay body measured, sieved and now drying in the plaster moulds


Labeled buckets with the claybody mixtures.
Once these dried to good consistency, we made shrinkage bars
and some forms to test the workability.
These were later bisqued and fired to cone 7 
to understand what results the combination of materials provided.
To be further manipulated for specific use, for eg.
white clay body for making beads, easy to wheel throw claybody.

Meticulously measuring and making glaze tests.
We worked out some line blends and triaxials using easily available materials.
An attempt to reach varied glazes and understand materials.
Which may lead to experimentation and innovation!
